The Opportunity

Applicants should live in the area served by the ICS or be able to demonstrate strong connections with it.

As an independent non-executive member for an NHS ICB, you will help to shape a long-term, viable plan for the delivery of the functions, duties, and objectives of the ICB, and for the stewardship of public money.

You will bring independent oversight and constructive challenge to the priorities, plans and performance of the ICB executive team, and promote open and transparent decision-making that facilitates consensus.

You will need to operate beyond traditional organisational boundaries, driving forward the vision of integration, collaboration and system-working, by forging productive relationships across local health, social care and voluntary partners.

You will have a key role in ensuring that the voice and needs of patients and communities are central to ICB discussions and decisions, so that strategies and services are inclusive and accessible to the whole population, and deliver the best possible health outcomes for all.

We are recruiting up to 6 Non-Executive Director positions to play a role on the Integrated Care Board. Two of these roles will chair the Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee.  The committees will be confirmed by the Board itself and the formation of its Constitution.  Provisionally we are proposing further committees for Assurance, People, System Quality, and Primary Care and Direct Commissioning.
